COVID-19 Update

To All of Our Valued Customers,

Under Governor Lamont’s order telling Connecticut residents to “Stay Safe, Stay Home,” all non-essential workers statewide are being directed to work from home, effective Monday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. Essential services, including tree care/landscaping work that is done to protect the public health, are exempt from the stay-at-home order under guidance provided by the DECD.

We are fully operational and will continue to provide quality tree care services as long as we can ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers. We have put together procedures to minimize the spread of the disease based on guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD).

  • First: We have carefully reviewed our operations, solely from the client’s perspective. The operations review determined that we are able to continue all of our professional tree care services, whether it be general tree care, plant health care, or emergency services while abiding by the current state and federal government mandates. We are privileged that our employees get to work outdoors in small teams.
  • Second: We are taking several additional actions to help you feel confident about your health and safety while we are performing tree service. We have asked the crews to create space between themselves and any resident that might cross their path in the field. Also, we are frequently cleaning and disinfecting all crew vehicles and equipment taken out into the community.
  • Third: We are closely monitoring the latest developments and following the guidance of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are also continuing our policy of asking employees who are sick to stay home. If anyone has a fever or becomes sick while at work, we will immediately release them.

We hope that these measures give you confidence that we are taking the necessary precautions in this evolving situation.

On behalf of everyone at Southbury Tree Service, thank you for the trust you put in us to perform your tree services.

Best regards,

Ben Neal
